The “Café Block” Shiraz comes from vines planted in the early 1950’s. On the south-west boundary of this prized block there are still remnants of a Café that is now a wine bar. Sand over clay is the predominant soil type. This is a freakishly intense Shiraz with a noticeably dark, opaque purple color. Strikingly intense aromas of blueberry and raspberry with hints of violets are immediately evident. Those same characters dominate the palate.
